Texas Probate Attorney

Probate

After the death of a loved one, it can be frustrating to think about all of the legal issues that need to be addressed. Unfortunately, it is necessary. I am attorney Mary Ann Ryemon, and I carefully guide clients whose loved ones have recently passed away through the entire probate process.

Contact me online or call 713-851-5112 to schedule your appointment to discuss how I may be of assistance. I represent clients throughout Pearland, Texas, and the surrounding areas.

Putting an Estate Through Probate

Probate is a legal process whereby the court appoints a personal representative to administer and distribute the assets of the deceased. When a person dies without a will, the person the court appoints is called an administrator. However, if this person was named in the will, they are known as the executor.

I help Texas and out-of-state executors and administrators with the process of probating Texas wills and transferring Texas property. This includes:

  • Distributing assets
  • Resolving matters with creditors
  • Completing all work according to the time line of the Texas probate court

In Texas, you have four years in which to probate a will. However, if the probate process has not been completed by that time, you can still transfer the title to Texas real estate through a muniment of title. Also, if your loved one did not leave a will, I can assist you with an Affidavit of Heirship.

Probate Litigation in Texas

If you believe that you did not receive the property to which you were entitled after a loved one died or you wish to contest the will, I can help.

Contact me online or call 713-851-5112 for a free ten-minute phone consultation. I can schedule appointments at a time and location most convenient to you.
